High School Intelligent Living Workshop

The Love to Share Foundation America (LTSF) High School Intelligent Living Workshop was conducted virtually on July 30, 2026 (3:00–5:00 PM CST) for high school students, with Sriram Ramanujam from Houston serving as the speaker. The concept of this workshop was introduced by Mk Ramanujamji who laid out the core ideas for speakers and organizers. Ayush Nanda our Youth Coordinator from Dallas organized this event.

Prior to the event, interested students completed a registration form and a pre-workshop questionnaire that gathered anonymous feedback on their biggest sources of stress and what they hoped to gain from the session. These responses were incorporated into the presentation to make the discussion more relevant and interactive.

The workshop focused on practical strategies for managing stress and navigating everyday challenges through the concept of Intelligent Living. Key topics included understanding stress, identifying common categories of worries, and applying the Warrior Toolkit, which introduced six evidence-based strategies: Positive Reappraisal, Micro Action Timer, Gratitude, Values Compass, Worry Window, and Awe Switch. Participants also practiced applying these techniques to real-life situations through interactive discussions.

To encourage engagement, the session incorporated an opening discussion question, pre-workshop survey results, an Agree/Disagree activity using Zoom reactions, breakout room discussions centered around real-life scenarios, and an interactive Q&A. Following the workshop, participants received the presentation slides and a feedback questionnaire.

Overall, youth appreciated the practical, easy-to-implement strategies, interactive format, and opportunity to discuss stress in a comfortable environment with peers. Suggestions for future workshops included shortening the session to approximately one hour and providing additional time for breakout discussions. The workshop demonstrated that students value practical mental wellness tools that can be applied to academics, extracurricular activities, and everyday decision-making.

If It Grows, It Goes! — Compost Education Workshop

On August 19, Love to Share Foundation America (LTSFA) hosted “If It Grows, It Goes!” at the Tuckahoe Area Library in partnership with CVWMA and NOPE Compost Co.

The workshop introduced community members to the basics and benefits of composting, including how food scraps can be turned into valuable soil instead of ending up in landfills. Participants learned what can be composted, how to identify certified compostable items, and the different ways to compost at home or through local drop-off programs.

A key focus was CVWMA’s Purple Cart Program, which helps residents easily recycle food scraps and reduce waste across Richmond and Henrico. The session highlighted how simple everyday actions—like separating food waste—can collectively make a big environmental impact.

LTSFA thanks CVWMA, NOPE Compost Co., Tuckahoe Area Library, and all attendees for making the event a success.

Small scraps can make a big impact!
