Workforce Skills Session at NC State University

Love to Share Foundation America (LTSFA) – Raleigh on Nov 2 2025 had the privilege of presenting essential workforce-readiness skills to pre-college students through the NC State University Catalyst Program—an award-winning initiative that supports high school students with disabilities who aspire to pursue STEM careers.

Volunteers Lavanya Mahesh and Akila Mahadevan led an engaging and interactive session designed to help students build confidence and develop practical skills for future career success. The workshop covered core topics including responsibility and accountability in the workplace, empathetic customer communication, how to receive and respond to constructive feedback, and responsible use of social media. This meaningful partnership with NC State University was represented with dedication and professionalism by Lavanya and Akila on behalf of Love to Share Foundation America.

Empowering youth and bridging the gap between education and the workforce remains central to our mission—and the students’ enthusiasm and curiosity made this session truly inspiring.
