Havildar Mathiazhagan P belonging to Sreerangai Kadu village in Edapadi Taluk, Salem district of Tamil Nadu was part of the Indian Army and was posted at Sunderbani sector of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir. He sacrificed his life for the nation due to a cross-border firing on June 4th. He was laid to rest with full state honours on June 6th 2020.
