Srirangam Veda Patasala Graduation Ceremony
Sri Premika Vedashramam was established in Srirangam on 17.04.2006 by Sri Sandeepani Gurukulam Srirangam Trust. Rig and Yajur Veda are taught here currently. Patasala is running in its own premises opposite to Sri Ranganayaki Thayar Sannidhi of the renowned Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple at Srirangam since 2011. Brahmashri Thathvamasi Ganapadigal is the chief Adhyapak for Yajur Veda assisted by Brahmashri Manickam and Sri Hari. Brahmashri Udhaneswar Bhat is the Adhyapak for Rig Veda. A branch of this Patasala is in Vedaranyam and Sri Prabhu and Sri Purushottaman are the Adhyapaks here. Sri Ramachandran of Srirangam, Sri Gopalakrishnan of Trichy, Sri Gurumurthy Raman of Bangalore and Sri Venkatesan Gurumurthy of Chennai are the current trustees. They are ably supported by Sri Vishwanath of Trichy. Many donors and Patrons have involved themselves in this noble endeavour.
On May 29 2022, Sri Swamiji honoured all Vidhyarthis who passed out of our Sri Premika Vedashramam, Srirangam in a grand function at Sri Kothai Nachiyar Marriage Hall.
Sri Swamiji felicitated all Vidhyarthis with a Silver Medal, Certificate, Garland, Shawl and Sambhavanai (cash honorarium). Rupees One Lakh each was given to all who completed Ghanam (16 Vidhyarthis), Rupees Fifty Thousand each to all who completed Kramam (7 Vidhyarthis) and Rupees Twenty Five Thousand each to all who completed Moolam (5 Vidhyarthis) and Rupees Twenty Thousand each to all who completed Padam (3 Vidhyarthis).
Sri Swamiji delivered a lecture on glory of Vedas and the need to preserve them. Around 1000 devotees attended this grand event.
All Adhyapaks, non-teaching staff and the trustees were honoured by Sri Swamiji. Sri Swamiji also honoured Sri Ramakrishnan and Smt Savithri Ramakrishnan who are an integral part of our Satsangh family and who generously offered the hall for the event without any costs. The event was well covered in print media.
A Namadwaar is established in Trichy at Tennur area. The devotees of Trichy Namadwaar chant Mahamantra collectively and offer them every year during Sri Swamiji’s Jayanthi. This year they have so far chanted and accumulated One Crore Mahamantra and offered them to Sri Swamiji on this occasion.
