Sri Rama Navami Celebrations at Houston

By the blessings of Sri Swamiji and the grace of Sri Aishwarya Srinivasa Perumal, devotees celebrated the divine birth of Lord Rama on the auspicious occasion of Sri Rama Navami. The celebrations began several days before as devotees participated in Srimad Ramayana Navaham from MAr 14-22, by taking turns reciting the 24,000 slokas of Srimad Valmiki Ramayanam. Cultural programs were also organized at the temple on Mar 21. Bharatanatyam performances were offered to Bhagavan by Sow. Swetha Jagadeesh, Kum. Shreenidhi Murali and Kum. Archana Bhradwaj. It was followed by chanting of Hanuman Chalisa and Maha Harathi.

On Mar 26, the auspicious day of Sri Rama Navami, a special satsang was organized at the temple. The event began with an hour of Mahamantra Kirtan followed by bhajans on Sri Rama. Devotees were then treated toarchana to Sri Rama, Hanuman Challis chanting and Maha Harathishmi Nair. The event concluded with archana to Sri Rama, Hanuman Chalisa chanting and Maha Harathi.
