Sri Jagannatha Ratha Yatra – Namadwaar Virginia
On July 26, 2026, the serene surroundings of Namadwaar, Nava Vrindavan came alive with devotion and celebration as devotees gathered for a joyous Jagannatha Ratha Yatra.
A beautifully decorated chariot awaited the arrival of Lord Jagannathji, Baladevji, and Subhadradevi, while devotees gathered and filled the air with the chanting of the divine names. Following the arrival, the initial pooja was performed amidst the chanting Mahamantra.
The procession began with Nama Sankirtan, followed by soulful renditions of Guru Kirtans, Jagannatha Kirtan, and the Jagannatha Ashtakam. As flower petals were showered upon Sri Swamiji and the Lord, devotees joyfully pulled the chariot along the procession route.
A particularly heartwarming sight was the enthusiastic participation of children, who eagerly joined the devotees in pulling the chariot rope. Along the way, the Lord was welcomed with devotional singing, as devotees offered Namavalis with love and reverence.
The Yatra also featured vibrant traditional performances, including Prathakashanam, Kolattam, and Kummi, adding a festive and cultural dimension to the celebration.
For over an hour and a half, the surroundings of Nava Vrindavan echoed with chanting, music, and devotional fervor. The celebration culminated with the soul-stirring “Kaliyayum Balikollum” kirtan, followed by Mangala Aarthi to Lord Jagannathji and His divine Parivaar.
