Shastra Sadas on the occasion of Sri Swamiji’s Thirunakshatram

Maharanyam Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji Kainkarya Sabha celebrates the thirunakshatram of our beloved master every year in a manner which is truly pleasing to our Sri Swamiji.
This year also, the trustees of the Sabha – Brahmasri Brahmananda Sharma, Brahmasri Veda Venkataramana Sharma, Brahmasri Anand Kramapati, Sri Santosh along with our Sri Sandeepani Gurukula Prinicipal Brahmasri Balaji Sharma, Brahmasri Dr. Karthikeya Sharma, Sri Ramanujam, Brahmasri Vidyasankara Ganapati, Brahmasri Kesava Kramapadi, with the grace of Sri Madhurisaki sametha Premika varada thakurji and Sri Sathguru conducted a Sastra Vidvath Sadas at the Illustrious Sri Sankara ‘Gurukulam’, Abiramapuram, Chennai for three days from Oct 26-Oct 28, 2022. This was followed by three evenings of Sri Krishna katha from Srimad bhagavatham by disciples of Sri Swamiji.
The grand proceedings of this unique event was graced by leading Scholars of all branches of Sastras. The uniqueness was the inclusion of Sahityam and Jyothisham in the subjects of the sadas.

The morning session was on Vedanta chaired (Adhyakshas) by Mahamahopadyata Brahmasri Dr Mullaivasal Krishnamurthy Sastrigal and Brahmasri Dr ManiDravid Sastrigal. The participants were Brahmasri Dr Hari Daigude Sastri, Brahmasri Krishna ghanapati, Sri N.M .Narayana Sastri, Sri Sridha Upadyaya Sastri. The rich profound discussions centered around Brahmasutras, Upanishads general Doctorine of Dwaitha philosophy.
The afternoon session was on Vyakaranam (Grammar) chaired by Brahmasri Dr ManiDravid Sastrigal and Brahmasri Dr.Shyama Sundara Sastrigal. The participating Scholars, Brahmasri Sarveshvara Sharma, Brahmasri Sudarshana sharma, Brahmasri Guruprasada sharma, Brahmasri Ghanti Gopalakrishna Sharma, Brahmasri Vidyadheesha Sharma, Brahmasri Dr. Kartikeya Sharma discussed intricate aspects of Sanskrit grammar from various texts like Mahanhasya, Bhushanasaara, Proudamanorama, Laghushabdendushekara and the like.
The evening Bhagavatha Pravachanam on Sri Krishna Jananam was delivered by Sri Gadhadaran Murali Bhagavathar.

The morning started with brisk discussions on Ancient Art of Aesthetics and Literature- Sahitya Shastra. The session was chaired by Brahmasri Dr.Umapathi Shastri and Brahmasri Dr.Suresha Shastri. The participating scholars were Brahmasri Shayam Arvind sharma, Brahmasri Srivishnu sharma, Brahmasri Lokesha Sharma, Brahmasri Brahmasri Krishnaprasada Sharma Sri Vishnupriya and Dr.Suresha Shastri.
The afternoon session was on Meemamsa Shastra chaired by Brahmasri Dr ManiDravid Sastrigal and Brahmasri Dr. Maheshwara Shastri. The session was attended by erudite scholars – Brahmasri Dr.Sowjanyakumara Shastri, Brahmasri Dr.Harihara Shastri, Brahmasri Dr.Vasudeva Shastri, Brahmasri Vidyadheesha Sharma, Brahmasri Dr. Maheshwaracharya.
The evening Bhagavatha Pravachanam on Sri Govinda Pattabhisekam was delivered by Brahmasri Sridhara Ganapati.

The morning session was an eloquent discussion on Nyaya Shastra. This session was chaired by Brahmasri Narayana Shastri and Brahmasri Dr. Naveena shastri. The participating erudite scholars were Brahmasri Dattanubhava Tengsen, Brahmasri shashaanka shivarama bhatta, Brahmasri P.N Narayana Shastri, Brahmasri Achyuta Shastri, Brahsri Veeraraghava Shastri, Brahmasri D V Subramanya Sharma, Brahmasri Narasihma Shastri.
The sixth session of the sadas was uniquely on Jyothisha Shastra (Astrology) chaired by Brahmasri Dr.Akhileswara Mishra Shastri and vedic astrology scholars Brahmasri Murali Shastri and Brahmsri Guhachala Shastri also discussed on the unique Mathematical text of Leelavati and Bruhatjatakam.

Mahamahopadhya Brahmasri Dr Mullaivasal Krishnamurthy Shastrigal graced most of the sadas sessions and blessed the sadas with his blessing messages.
The concluding satsang was aptly Rukmani Kalyana upakyanam by Brahmasri Kapilavasudeva Sharma.

About 100 devotees participated in this three day divine celebrations and were the recipients of Bhagavan Sri Krishna’s grace.
