During the month of July 2026, Namadwaar Ontario joyfully celebrated the following festivals with enthusiastic participation from devotees.
18 July 2026 – Sri Jagannath Rath Yatra
The celebrations commenced with the chanting of the Mahamantra Kirtan, followed by the recitation of the Sikshashtakam and Madhurageetham.
Around 50 devotees enthusiastically participated in pulling the chariot of Sri Jagannath Parivar, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with devotion and spiritual fervour.
As part of the sacred Chappan Bhog Seva, devotees lovingly prepared and offered more than 50 varieties of delicacies to the Lord. The festivities culminated in joyful Hari Nama Sankirtan and spirited dancing by devotees around the Rath, filling the temple grounds with divine bliss and celebration.
25 July 2026 – Ashada Ekadasi Celebrations
The Ashada Ekadasi celebrations began in the morning with a sacred Thirumanjanam for Yugalam Murthis.
Following Mahamantra Chanting and Srimad Bhagavata Parayanam, devotees participated in an electrifying Abhang Bhajan session that continued for nearly three hours. Throughout the bhajan, men and women took turns singing and dancing around Divya Nama Krishna, creating a deeply devotional and uplifting atmosphere.
The celebration concluded with Dolotsavam and the distribution of Maha Prasadam to more than 50 devotees, leaving participants spiritually enriched and inspired.
Overall, both festivals witnessed enthusiastic participation from devotees and served as wonderful opportunities for congregational chanting.
