Satsangs in Melbourne by Dr Janani Vasudevanji
With the blessings of Sri Swamiji, Janani Ji’s visit to Melbourne from July 4 to August 5 was a wonderful period of satsang, learning and seva, bringing together devotees and families across Melbourne.
Satsang – Experiencing the Bhava of Sri Swamiji’s Kirtans
What made these satsangs particularly special was the way Janani Ji brought alive the bhava behind Sri Swamiji’s divine kirtans through the Leelanubhavam series, conducted across devotees’ homes in Melbourne..
It was not merely a narration or explanation of the words. Through her voice, expressions, anecdotes and deep understanding, we were able to experience the devotional mood and message embedded within each kirtan. Through Janani Ji, we felt glimpses of the same love, devotion, compassion and surrender that Sri G pours into His kirtans. Whether it was Bhakta Prahlada, The Spirit of Seva, Bhagavatham, Gratitude, Rama, Mahadeva or the many other themes explored during the satsangs, each session left us with something to contemplate and carry into our daily lives.
Beyond the Box – Inspiring Young Minds
A two-day “Beyond the Box – Creative Minds” workshop, conducted in collaboration with STEM Incubators, engaged children and young adults through hands-on creative activities*. Participants learnt to think differently, solve problems creatively and work collaboratively, including building temples using LEGO.
The children also explored what it means to be responsible citizens through a battery recycling workshop conducted by Harini Karthikeyan Ji of STEM Incubators, learning how responsible everyday actions can contribute to protecting the environment.
Together, the satsangs and workshops made Janani Ji’s visit an enriching experience for the wider community — encouraging creativity, responsibility and purposeful living among the younger generation.
We remain grateful for her seva and pray to Sri Guruji for her continued good health and strength to carry His message to many more people.
