Samskruti 2024

The Samskruti 2024 event was held on July 28, 2024, at Lady Sivaswami Ayyar Girls’ Higher Secondary School in Mylapore, Chennai. This Art and Literature fest, initiated in 2012 under the guidance of Sri Swamiji, is conducted annually with unique themes given by Sri Swamiji himself to encourage kids to explore and appreciate our heritage. This year marked the 11th edition of the event and Sri Swamiji gave the theme as “Sthree Shakti in Bharatiya Samskruti.”

Nearly 800 students from 60 schools participated in various activities designed to highlight and celebrate the strength and contributions of women in Indian history and culture. The categories included a drawing competition titled “My Mother; My Shakti” for classes 1 and 2, a painting contest on “Great Women from our Itihasas and Puranas” for classes 3 to 5, and a wall poster creation with quotes about “Women Saints of India” for classes 6 to 8. Additionally, students from classes 9 to 12 participated in T-shirt painting focusing on “Queens and Warriors of Medieval and Pre-independence Era” and an elocution contest with topics “Vande Mataram” for classes 6 to 8 and “Sthree Shakti in Bharatiya Samskruti” for classes 9 to 12, conducted in both Tamil and English. The elocution contest was judged by esteemed individuals including Brahmasri Balaji Sharma, Brahmasri Dr Karthik Sharma, Professor Sri Sundararaman, Sri Pradeep Janakiraman and Erode Sri Balaji Bhagavatar.

The efforts and dedication of GOD volunteers were crucial in the seamless execution and success of the event. Their contribution ensured that the participants had an enriching and memorable experience. Overall, Samskruti 2024 was a grand success, fostering appreciation for women’s roles and achievements in Indian culture.

Radhe Radhe. Pranams And Prostrations to Guruji Maharaj’s Lotus Feet. Bundle of Brilliance resonates with effervescence in this vibrant event. With the benign intention to showcase our country’s rich and varied heritage, the cynosure being the appreciation of the fine texture that is woven in our culture, Guruji Maharaj has delectably conceptualized this wondrous event from 2012 onwards. Even the caption (‘Sthree Shakti in Bhartiya Samskruti “) is captivating and energizing! Guruji Maharaj has put together a string of activities on strong women-oriented subjects, right from Std I to Std XII and the titles-cum-activities have been fashioned to yield a bedazzled satsang. The versatility of the activities is breathtaking and we experience unbridled joy on seeing the wide landscape of programs beautifully tailored. Grace and Power of Women is captured in equal measure throughout. The amazing precociousness glitters in the faces of the blessed children. While bowing my head in Humble Salutations to Guruji Maharaj for this Exemplary Blessings to the Student Community, doff my hat to GOD Volunteers for translation of Guruji Maharaj’s dream into an amazing reality!
