Radhashtami Celebrations at Atlanta Namadwaar
By the immense grace of Sri Swamiji and Sri Madhuri Sakhi Sametha Sri Premikavaradhan Takurji, Atlanta Namadwaar joyously celebrated the Divine Descent of Sri Radharani, with days of loving offerings culminating in a beautiful Radhashtami celebration filled with Nama, Sri Madhurageethams, and devotion.
From September 8 through September 18, devotees lovingly offered 100 Sri Madhurageethams glorifying Sri Radharani at Atlanta Namadwaar. On September 18, on the auspicious occasion of Radhashtami, devotees celebrated the Divine Descent of our beloved Sri Radharani at Namadwaar with offerings of Mahamantra and Sri Madhurageethams.
On Saturday, September 19, devotees gathered at Namadwaar for an evening dedicated to Sri Radharani. The celebrations commenced with Nama and Sri Madhurageetham offerings, followed by Sri Radha Ashtotharam, performed by 20–25 young girls, who offered Pushparchana at the paadam of Sri Radharani. This was followed by Kanya Pooja, with each of the girls lovingly presented with gifts as a blessing on the auspicious occasion.

The celebration was filled with Sri Radha Nama and Sri Madhurageethams glorifying Sri Radharani, led by the youth girls. One of the most joyous moments of the evening was a beautiful Anukaranam depicting the Divine Descent of Sri Radharani. A beautifully decorated Sri Radharani doll represented baby Sri Radharani, while a Bhagavatha couple portrayed Vrishabhanu Maharaj and Kirtida Devi. They lovingly carried baby Sri Radharani to the cradle, placed Her within it, and gently swayed the cradle. The assembled ladies and young girls danced joyfully around the cradle, rejoicing together and celebrating Her Divine Descent. The Anukaranam was beautifully accompanied by the Sri Madhurageethams “Radhai Pirandhal Engal Radhai Pirandhal” and “Kottu Murase Kottu Murase,” bringing alive the joy and festivity surrounding the divine birth of Sri Radharani.

The evening was further adorned with beautiful dance offerings. Kum. Darshana and Kum. Chinmayi danced to the Sri Madhurageetham “kOlAhalam engum kOlAhalam,” beautifully expressing the festive joy of the occasion. Smt. Gayatri Vasanth ji offered a graceful dance to the Sri Madhurageetham “ChinnanjchiRu thaLire.” A group of eight young girls, ages seven to ten, came together for a joyful dance offering to the Sri Madhurageetham “Radhe Pirandanale.”

The celebrations also featured Sri Vraj Kishori Kirtan, rendered by Kum. Radharani, accompanied by a beautiful group dance by the youth girls, led by Kum. Darshana.
By the immense grace of Sri Swamiji and the opportunities to serve given to them, the Satsang youth girls took centre stage this Radhashtami—from singing, choreographing and dancing to taking the lead in decorating Namadwaar and lovingly baking a special Radhashtami cake. Kum. Radharani, Kum. Harini and Kum. Akshara led the Sri Madhurageetham offerings, Kum. Samiksha took the lead in the beautiful decorations, and Kum. Akshara lovingly baked the special cake. Their enthusiastic spirit of Kainkaryam was a special highlight of the celebration.
Throughout the evening, the beautifully adorned Namadwaar provided a vibrant and joyous setting for the celebration. Red and gold balloons of different sizes, along with beautiful, colorful and fragrant flower garlands, adorned the space, beautifully complementing the resplendent attire of Sri Madhuri Sakhi Sametha Sri Premikavaradhan Takurji and adding to the festive splendor. Radha Nama was woven throughout the décor and remained constantly on the lips of the devotees, filling Namadwaar with devotion and joy. Amidst this beautiful setting, Sri Madhuri Sakhi Sametha Sri Premikavaradhan Takurji were truly a sight to behold, and devotees felt immensely blessed to have Their divine darshan on this auspicious occasion.
The joyous evening concluded with the cutting of the special Radhashtami cake by the Kanyas, followed by Harathi and Dolotsavam, and special prasadam for all those in attendance.
With hearts filled with gratitude, devotees offered the entire celebration as a loving Kainkaryam at the lotus feet of Sri Swamiji and Sri Madhuri Sakhi Sametha Sri Premikavaradhan Takurji, grateful for the blessed opportunity to come together in Nama and celebrate the Divine Descent and boundless grace of Sri Radharani.
