Namadwaar Singapore Retreat in the Month of Aippasi, 2026
By the grace of Sri Madhuri Sakhi Sametha Sri Premika Varadhan, Namadwaar Singapore gathered on 31st October 2026 at the Pasir Ris Beach Park Bungalow. This is for a retreat marking the sacred month of Aippasi, in which we celebrate the 65th birthday of our beloved Guru Maharaj.
The day opened with the chanting of the Mahamantra and the Gajendra Stuti. Once everyone had settled in, devotees gathered in a circle to share their remembrances of Sri Swamiji, in what became, in effect, a small Madhurasmaranam. Though we speak different languages, follow different practices and approach life in different ways, it is our shared love for Sri Guruji that holds us together as one. So absorbed were we that only at the close did we notice how far the hour had passed beyond lunch.
The afternoon was given to fellowship, with devotees joining in carrom, board games, badminton and cricket.
After tea, Brahmasri Janardhananji led a quiz on the Itihasas and Puranas. This was followed by a Kahoot quiz on the Puranas, Indian culture and Namadwaar, conducted by a member of the youth team. Photographs from Namadwaar Singapore’s early years were shown during the session, bringing back memories of those days. The day concluded with dinner prasadam.
Devotees returned home with renewed remembrance of Sri Guruji, a deeper acquaintance with our Itihasas and Puranas, and a closer bond with one another. That bond will sustain the kainkaryams and utsavams of the years ahead, beginning with the celebration of Sri Guruji Jayanthi in a week’s time.
