Namadwaar Melbourne Youth bag the prestigious Youth Changemakers Award

With the blessings of His Holiness Maharanyam Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji, four members of the Namadwaar Melbourne Youth Team and STEM Incubators Inc. Youth had the privilege of participating in the Kingston Hackathon Competition in November 2024.

The winning team comprised Sri Karthikeyan, Vishnu Easwar, Rehaan Salil, and Aneka Subramanian, who participated in the competition that challenged participants to develop innovative digital solutions for supporting local businesses throughout the Kingston area.

Under the guidance of Dr. Janani Vasudevan, who provided mentorship through both the ideation process and public speaking components, the team developed a comprehensive mobile application featuring interfaces for both users and businesses to increase foot traffic and attract customers to support small businesses and council facilities throughout the Kingston area.

The team’s innovative solution earned them first place in the competition. Their success led to ongoing mentorship opportunities with Microsoft Australia, where they presented their application to industry professionals.

The achievements continued as the team was subsequently recognised as winners in the “Young Changemakers and Innovators” category at the Kingston Sustainable Business Awards on September 12th 2025, which celebrates individuals and organisations leading sustainable practices in the community.

The youth team extends their heartfelt gratitude especially to Karthikeyan Kameswaran and Harini Karthikeyan for providing this invaluable opportunity and for the unwavering support, acknowledging that these accomplishments were only made possible through Sri Swamiji’s divine blessings.
