Life and Soul Free Health Fair- Houston, Texas
The annual Life and Soul Free Community Health Fair was held on September 21, 2024, near Houston, Texas, USA. The event, organized by the Love to Share Foundation America in collaboration with various community organizations, aimed to promote health awareness and provide valuable resources to residents. The fair was kicked off by the Mayor of Manvel, Mr. Dan Davis. The event attracted over 300 attendees, ranging from young children to senior citizens.
The fair screened for cardiovascular risk factors such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. The participants also had the opportunity for vision, dental, and hearing screenings.
Screenings for thyroid and breast cancer were done on the spot, as were screenings for irregular heart rhythms, neuropathy, and stroke. A free flu vaccination drive and blood donation drive was part of the fair, along with health education talks on hereditary cancers and mental health awareness.
Several notable organizations joined hands and conducted screenings.
The event highlighted the importance of health screenings, healthy living, and healthcare resources. Plans are underway to expand the services offered for the next annual event in September 2025.
