Janmashtami Celebration Namadwaar Ontario

GOD Namadwaar Ontario joyfully celebrated Sri Krishna Janmashtami with enthusiasm, devotion and community participation. The Namdwaar was decorated with many pots for Little Krishna and the celebrations commenced with Mahamantra Kirtan followed by Sri Krishna Jananam Parayanam, where devotees immersed themselves in the divine narration of Lord Krishna’s birth from Srimad Bhagavatham.

This was followed by Madhurageetham and bhajans glorifying Lord Krishna. Gopas and Gopis participated enthusiastically, filling the Namadwaar with melodious kirtans and divine vibrations.

One of the highlights of the evening was the joyous Nandhotsavam, celebrating the blissful festivities that took place in Gokulam upon the birth of Krishna. Devotees experienced the festive spirit through nama sankirtanam, dancing, and collective expressions of devotion.

The celebrations continued with the much-anticipated Uriyadi (Dahi Handi) event. All were transformed to the world of Vrindavan, recreating Lord Krishna’s playful pastime of reaching the butter pot. The event brought immense excitement and laughter, making it a memorable experience for all attendees.

Nearly 75 devotees  gathered to witness the divine birth of Lord Krishna through a series of spiritually uplifting and culturally vibrant events followed by sumptuous dinner prasad for all.
