Samarpanam – Abhang Mela, Houston
By the grace of Sri Swamiji and Sri Aishwarya Srinivasa Perumal, the 11th Samarpana series was organized at the temple. The theme for the samarpanam was an offering of various compositions of Panduranga bhaktas by Houston area music schools and musicians. Below is the list of music schools that participated.
1. Smt. Jyoti Joshi’s Hindustani Music School.
2. Smt. Shobana Srinivasan’s Ahiri Music School.
3. Kum. Bhargavi Chandrashekaran of Krishna Gana Sudha Music Academy.
4. Smt. Jothi Venkatesan’s Music School.
The guests were also treated with a special guest presentation by Smt. Savita Sreeram who is a well-known exponent of Nama Sankeerthanam and Carnatic music from India who is currently touring the US. About 70 people attended the event.
