Rama Navami Utsav at Melbourne Namadwaar

This year’s Rama Navami Utsav at Melbourne Namadwaar commenced with a heartwarming offering by our Gopakuteeram children. Weeks of dedicated practice culminated in a beautiful Madhurageethams concert and a vibrant Nama Ramayanam recital along with pravachan.

Level 2 children (ages 9–12) sang several of Sri Swamiji’s divine compositions on Sri Rama, Sita devi, Sri Hanuman, power of tharaka mantra and holy kshetras like Bhadrachalam. Meanwhile, the senior Level 3 group beautifully presented the essence of the Ramayana through its seven Kandas, highlighting the message of bhakti and the power of Nama. Thanks to the teachers who trained them (Vasu Shabari for Madhurageetham), Nama Ramayanam (trained by Latha Karthik and Shabari). Thanks to the continued guidance and mentoring from Dr Janani Vasudevan ji and Dr Bhagyanathan ji.

We hope and pray that the children imbibe the values of the Ramayana—the noble qualities of Sri Rama and the dharmic life he exemplified—through these opportunities.

Day 2 witnessed a vibrant Sita Kalyanam led by Sri Ram Subramanian Bhagavathar and team. It was a divine experience for all gathered, and we look forward to many more such beautiful samarpanams at Namadwaar and beyond with the divine blessing and grace of Sri Swamiji.
