Ram Navami Celebrations in Canada

Edmonton:

With Sri Swamiji’s abundant krupa, Edmonton satsang families celebrated Sri Rama Navami utsavam with parayanam of selected chapters from Sri Valmiki Ramayanam every week from January till March 2025.

Rama Navami utsavam commenced on January 25, 2025, with the first satsang held at a devotee’s residence. Each week, the satsang families gathered in the homes of various bhagavathas, for parayanam on key episodes from the Ramayana (Bala Kandam, Chapter 1), Sri Rama Jananam (Bala Kandam, Chapter 18), Sita Kalyanam (Bala Kandam, Chapter 73), Sankshepa Sundarakandam and Sri Rama Pattabhishekam (Yuddha Kandam, Chapter 128).

Rama Navami was celebrated with Sita Kalyanam utsavam at Namadwaar. Kalyana Utsavam was led by Krishna cottage’s students. It began with Thodayamangalam, Guru Keerthanam, followed by Janavasam, Divya Naamam, Ashtapati, Churnikai, Pravaram, Mangalashtakam and Thirumangalya Dharanam. The satsang concluded with Anjaneyar Utsavam.

1.  Sampoorna Valmiki Ramayana Navaha Parayanam (via Zoom) from 28 -Mar-2025 to 5-Apr-2025.
2. Sri Sita Kalyanam Utsavam on 29-Mar-2025.
3. Navaha Parayana Poorthi with Sri Rama Pattabhishegam, Vishnu Sahasra Nama parayanam, Bhagavath Gita (Chapter 12) and Hanuman Chalisa chanting on 5-Apr-2025.
4. Akandha Hanuman Chalisa Parayanam (via Zoom) on 6-Apr-2025.
5. Weeklong Mahamantra Chanting by kids (via Zoom) from 6th-12th-Apr-2025.
