Janmashtami Utsav at Sydney Namadwaar
By the boundless grace of Guru Maharaj, Namadwaar Sydney celebrated 2025 Janamashtami Brahmotsav in a grand manner over 15 days.
On 9th Aug, Srimad Bhagavatham Sapthaha Parayanam led by Sri Sathyaji began with kalasa sthapanam & Mahathmyam Parayanam. Over the next 7 days, several devotees participated in the parayanam and many other sevas to conduct the sapthaham.
The sapthaham concluded on the morning of Janmashtami, 16th Aug. In the evening, abhishekam was done to utsava murthis, followed by Parayanam of Sri Krishna Jananam, Nandotsav & Hamsa Vahanam procession. Namadwaar Sydney was overflowing with devotees who joyfully sang kirtans and celebrated nandotsav.
On 17th Aug, AM, there was Govinda Pattabhishekam which started with Vanabhojanam where Bhagavan went to play with little gopas & gopis. Following this, there was abhishekam during when we had Srimad Narayaneeyam parayanam & Parayanam of Govardhan lila in Srimad Bhagavatham. Gopa Kuteeram children also performed abhishekam to their little krishna, played violin and gave a wonderful talk on Govardhan lila. The morning concluded with Annakutotsav and joyful singing of various kirtans and Govinda Namavali.
From the evening of 17th Aug until 21st Aug (5 evenings), Sri Sathya ji discoursed on various charithrams from Srimad Bhagavatham. There were also presentation by Gopa Kuteeram children (Mahamantra, Talks, Sthuthis) and procession of Seshsa vahanam, Simha vahanam, Garuda vahanam, Gaja vahanam & Ashwa vahanam. Many devotees including children participated in the procession and joyfully sang many madhurageethams and namavalis.
On 22nd Aug, Nikunjotsavam was celebrated with veena concert by young artists of Sydney. Bhagavan was blissfully seated in a swing, decorated with flowers and lamps. It was truly a divine evening where hearts merged to the sound of veena and sight of our Lordships.
On 23rd Aug morning, the grand Radha Kalyanam utsavam began with Ashtapadhi offering (1-19), Flute concert & Janavasam in the evening followed by the divine wedding on 24th Aug AM. Anjaneya pooja was also done after the wedding.
The Brahmotsav concluded on a high, in a very joyful way with Divya Nama & Vidayatri on 24th Aug evening. Devotees were served delicious Lunch & Dinner prasad on all days. Special pooja was done for Sponsors & they were honored with prasadam.
Bundilla Scout Camp, a venue close to Namadwaar was hired from 18th – 24th Aug to accommodate more devotees and work with local council restrictions. The Venue was colorfully decorated, buzzing with devotees, echoing sweet tunes and auspiciousness all around.

Radhe Radhe. Ananthakoti Namaskarams to Guruji Maharaj’s Divine Feet that have the Efficacy to pitchfork our life to Spiralling Heights! Words have lost their Proficiency to Effectively Convey the Grandeur, Grandiose, Elegance and Poise with which Lord Krishna Immersed Himself in Janmashtami Utsav at Sydney Namadwaar! Every word is cherry picked, subsumed in Honey and dished out with Matchless Vim and Vivacity! The 15-day long event has all the Delicate Ingredients that would please our Venerable Master – first and foremost the Adorable Adornments to the Presiding Deities, Sri Sri Madhuri Sakhi Samedha Sri Sri Premika Varadan, the flower deck-up, colourful Vastra. Next, the daintly-decorated Cradle; Charming Lord Krishna atop Sri Nanda Baba’s head, perched so endearingly and gorgeously! Riveting Recital of Madhurageethams; a plethora of Vahanams beautifully designed and attractively ornamented. Soul-stirring Veena Concert, Dhivya Namam, Vidayatri and Mahaprasaadam on all days, Anjaneya Utsavam. The crowning Glory is the Bhagavatha Saptaham. That the Gopakuteeram children incrusted the event with joyful singing of many Kirtans and replicating the “Bejewelled Acts” of Elders such as performing Abhishekam to their little Krishna, gave a spell-binding talk on Govardhan Leela – et al, will soothe our Veritable Master’s heart, for sure. Spades of Thanks to Guruji Maharaj for being the Inimitable Inner Ruler in being Orchestral to the “Ornate” Celebrations that reverberated beautifully in the skies of Sydney Namadwaar, Enchantingly, Exquisitely and Strikingly!
