Special Prayers for the distressed devotee

Sri Mahesh, a devotee, who resides in KR Puram, Bengaluru, was saddened by a burglary that happened in his house about month and a half ago. He was lamenting the loss of several valuable family jewelry and He spoke with our Guru Maharaj soon after the incident. He also tried his luck by engaging one of our close friends who used his clout to fast track the police search process. However that too was not successful. Our Guru Maharaj too, kept regularly checking on the progress of the investigations.

Mid October – It was quite some time since Sri Sri Swamiji visited Bengaluru and there was a pleasant news for all Bangalore devotees – Sri Sri Swamiji was coming to the city!
In Bangalore, Sri Sri Swamiji was interacting with devotees freely and made a several impromptu visits to devotees’ residences. One such visit was scheduled for Sunday afternoon to a devotee’s residence in Rajarajeshwarinagar. However the master made a sudden change in his plans and decided to visit Sri Mahesh’s residence first. After spending few minutes settling down in Sri Mahesh’s house. He suddenly reached for the Ramayana Purana and started the Sundara Kandam parayanam to everyone’s pleasant surprise. He emphasized on the part of the Ramayana, where Sri Hanuman humble sighted Sita devi and placed Lord Ram’s ring in Sita devi’s palm. Interestingly that day happened to be the day when the ‘Punarvasu’ star (Lord Rama’s birth star) was in the ascent.

Back at the Sundara Hanuman temple, devotees waited as they expected Sri Sri Swamiji to arrive very shortly! 3 hours rolled on for what seemed like an eternity, after which they had Sri Sri Swamiji’s darshan!

On October 13th, a Tuesday, Sri Hanuman’s day – Sri Mahesh and his wife returned to their residence and were awestruck to see few policemen at their doorstep. The Police had brought a man handcuffed to their house. The man was none other the alleged thief who stole the jewelery belonging to Sri Mahesh and family. The thief also explained as to how he made it into the house and stole the valuables. The police then relieved Sri Mahesh and family after requesting them to visit the police station to identify the jewelery.

Such is the power of Sri Sundara Hanuman and our benevolent Guru Maharaj who not only lent a compassionate ear to the devotees in distress but also followed up kindly by offering never failing prayers himself.
