Catch the Shadow!

Among all the personalities in our entire Puranas and Epics, Hanuman and Bheema are the only two persons who have been said to be extremely powerful and strong. Even among the two, Hanuman was proved to be superior in an interesting episode narrated in the Mahabharatha, where Bheema was not even able to move Hanuman’s tail. But, in the Sundarakanda of Srimad Ramayana, we find that while Hanuman was flying over the great Ocean towards Lanka, an ogress named Simhikaa impeded his movement by merely catching hold of his shadow! This proves that we can draw a person merely through his shadow.

This is also true in the case of God and Saints. The ‘Archavatara’(idol of worship) is nothing but the shadow of the Lord and so too is the photograph of a Saint. When we worship these shadow-forms of the Supreme Truth with intense devotion, we are indeed drawing them towards us. This alone is sufficient for us to attain God or derive a Saint’s grace.

Though this fact, that is, a fraction of a person’s life-energy is present in his shadow or photograph, is not scientifically accepted as on date, scientists may discover this phenomenon and accept it later!
