Srimad Bhagavatha Sapthaham – August 24th – 31st
Celebration started with Srimad Bhagavatha Sapthaha Parayanam from August 24th to August 31st.
On August 31st all the satsang members celebrated Sapthaha poorthi. Vishnu sahasranamam,12th chapter in Bhagavad geetha and Hanuman Chalisa were recited after the poorthi. Sapthaham was completed with Prarthana Madhura Geetham and Mahamanta Kirtan.
24 hrs Akanta Mahamantra Nama Sankirtan – September 1st
24 hrs Akanta Mahamantra Nama Sankirtan was performed by devotees from Saturday, Sep 1st, 9 am – Sunday, Sep 2nd, 9 am. Devotees eagerly took turns and participated in the Akanta Nama Sankirtan.
Janmashtami Celebration – Sep 2nd
On Sunday, Sep 2nd, Janmashtami day, we concluded the 24 hrs Akanta nama at 9am.
Following which, our beloved Thakurji and Madhuri Sakhi were prepared for a Tirumanjanam. During the Tirumanjanam, devotees were singing Madhura Geethams and Mahamantra Nama Sankirtan. Then the divine couple were adorned with their jewels, new dresses and flowers. It was a blissful sight to see the couple’s alankaram. The entire place was filled with Nama and everybody present there could experience the divinity.
After this we celebrated the Nandostav. Our little Krishna was born and getting ready to reach Gokulam. The devotees recited the Dasama skandham – Avatara sargams from Srimad Bhagavatham. After the Krishna Avatar, we all chanted ‘Gopala’ nama and flowers were showered on our Takurji. After completing the parayanam, our little krishna was taken to Gokulam. Rajesh Srinivasan Ji as Nandababa carried the Lord and placed him on an embellished cradle. Our little Krishna enjoyed all the bakshanams and prasadam prepared with love for him and the Gopis and Gopas present there danced around him chanting prabandam and singing Madhura Geetham. The Maha Arthi was performed and the Satsang concluded with Mahamantra kirtan. Lunch mahaprasad was served.
