By the grace of HH Maharanayam Sri Muralidhara Swami Ji, New Jersey GOD Satsang celebrated Janmashtami on Sunday, Sept 2nd 2018 at Edison, NJ.
Celebrations started with prayers at Sri Swami Ji’s Holy Padhukas at the residence of the family hosting the satsang. Also, the divine couple blessed us with a beautiful darshan of matching blue and gold vastrams, jasmine, tulasi garlands and a full bloomed lotus.

Mahamantra was chanted incessantly from 10:00AM in the morning till 5:00PM in the evening interspersed with Sri Swami Ji’s kirtans nAmam ondre podhume, nAmam solluvom vAreer and nAma dhAtha.

Our little Krishna was eagerly waiting to bless the devotees assembled and we started reading Srimad Bagawatham chapters 10.1, 10.2, 10.3 starting 6:00PM. This was followed by a 60 minutes discourse on Krishna Jananam by Sri Prakash Ji.

When it was time for Krishna to be born the entire place turned dark with Vasudevar bringing our extremely cute little Krishna in a basket, with Adiseshan covering the rain, amidst singing of Sri Swami Jis soulful kirtans kArirul thanile and avdharithAn kannan. Subsequently Vasudevar left our little Krishna safely in Gokulam. This was followed by nandotsavam with kolAttam by gopAs and gopis. Grains, pulses, candies were donated to all devotees, birthday cake was cut and offered as prasadam. Little Krishna started crawling, started to steel butter and hearts, quickly grew up to become a 5 years old boy and saved the devotees from severe rain sprinkled from the top by easily lifting up govardhana mountain. Sri Swami Ji’s kirtan Indiran adi panindhAn was sung. 16 devotees attended the day’s celebrations.

Satsang ended with kaliyayum bali kollum, arthi and prasadam. We sincerely pray at the lotus feet of Sri Swami Ji for New Jersey to be
