Sri Hari Hara Subbrahmanyan
Disciple of HH Maharanyam Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji
BACKGROUND:
Following Sri Sri Swamiji’s encouragement, Hariji pursued his B.A. in Sanskrit from Vivekananda College, Chennai. He then undertook specialized studies in the Puranas at the Veda Vyasa Purana Patashala in Bangalore, and further developed his command of Sanskrit grammar and classical texts under Sri Karthikeya Sharma. His academic path culminated in a Master’s degree (Acharya) in Puranetihasa from The National Sanskrit University.
EXPERIENCE:
What defines Hariji’s work is his ability to present Puranas like the Ramayana and Srimad Bhagavatam in a way that is both clear and deeply relatable. He connects scriptural ideas to everyday life, making his talks accessible even to those new to the texts. His discourses often focus on Bhagavata Dharma, the Bhagavad Gita, and devotional works like Bhakta Vijayam, delivered in the form of saptahas and public lectures across various forums. Hariji is deeply inspired by the message of Sri Sri Swamiji — that chanting the divine names, especially the Hare Rama Mahamantra, offers a simple and meaningful path in today’s times. In line with this, his efforts are focused on spreading awareness of these values and practices in a grounded, sincere manner.
