Dr. Jananiji’s satsangs in Sydney

Divine Lecture Series 2019 presented by Dr Janani Vasudevan

April to May was verily exciting and blissful for G.O.D Australia with Dr Janani Vasudevan visiting us from India!!

Janani ji began her tour in Australia in Brisbane followed by Melbourne, Sydney and New Zealand. In this tour Janani ji conducted camps for Gopa kuteeram children, Puranava quiz contests, Meditation sessions, workshops, lectures and home satsangs.

Janani ji’s Sydney programs commenced with an interactive satsang series for three days “Long long ago in India…..Ancient wisdom in Modern times”. The satsangs were primarily organised for students. But it turned out that not only the students but the parents that attended also greatly benefited and learnt many new and interesting things from the talks.

Citing various examples and analogies Janani ji explained the easiest method to control the mind is through mantra meditation which is the simplest to follow as compared to many other lofty and exhalted paths. Why because chanting helps us being mindful and being mindful gives us the power to take the right decisions without the influence of stress or emotions. By only mental strength our Rishis discovered many things which Science claims of inventing now. Janani ji took us through the Wonders that exist in India in terms of culture, art, practices, architecture, temples and their significance.
The talks were very educative to both parents and students. We had great feedback and parents even requested similar sessions at Janani ji’s next visit.
Janani ji conducted a personal development workshop for high school students “Holding the Power”. At this workshop, she taught the students how to enrich the Mental, Emotional, Social and Spiritual well-being of oneself.

In the mega soul-stirring event “Krupa Samudra Srinivasa”, Janani ji beautifully narrated the story of the Ocean of compassion – Lord Srinivasa which was woven with compositions of Sri Swamiji and dance by Dr. Sangeetha Manoharan. This was again a very unique program which was attended by more than a hundred people at Namadwaar.

In the following next four days we were all drenched and soaked in Krishna katha based on Sri Swamiji’s kirtans – “ Sri Krishna in Sri Ji’s kirtans”.  We were all literally transported to Brindavan to witness Bhagavan Sri Krishna’s lilas. Apart from these satsang series, we were fortunate to listen to Janani ji’s musical discourses Dhruva charitra and Bhakta Meera. People were inspired by the charitras of Dhruva and Bhakta Meera. Even people who had no background of spirituality were so touched and moved by the talks.

Janani ji was invited by the Community Migrant Resource Centre to present a talk on ‘Wisdom from our Puranas’ and ‘Mantra Meditation’ as a part of their Mother’s Day celebration at their centre in Toongabbie. The program was very well received by a huge audience of community members from various ethnic backgrounds who provided positive feedback on the program and mentioned that the talk on the Wisdom of Puranas and Mantra Meditation was inclusive for all communities. They added that the multilingual and interactive presentation style by Janani ji in English, Tamil, Hindi was very commendable and her presentation connected mental, spiritual and physical health in the everyday practices of each person.

Mother’s day was celebrated by G.O.D with a special lunch at ‘John Curtis reserve’ near Namadwaar. All the adults and children had a gala time by playing ‘antakshari’ and various other games.

Janani ji attended Reality Retreat and Kirtanam sessions in Sydney city and Newtown. The programs were based on mantra music and guided meditation.

The concluding session of Janani ji’s trip was celebrated in a grand manner at Namadwaar with a float festival for our Lordships Sri Madhuri Sakhi sametha Sri Premika Varadan. Namadwaar was decorated tastefully and the sweet fragrance of flowers filled the hall. It was such a blissful sight to see the divine couple gently floating in the water amidst singing of Yugalashtakam, Madhurageethams and Namavalis. Everyone’s heart was filled with happiness which is beyond any description and no one could take their eyes off our Lordships!!

The evening concluded with ‘Kaliyayum bali kollum’ and mass prayer.

All Glories to Sri Swamiji, by whose boundless grace and compassion we could have Janani ji here in Australia for presenting the Divine Lecture Series 2019.

We all thought Janani ji’s satsangs had just started, before we realised, it was all over !!! Such was the divine mesmerising experience Janani ji had created for all us !!

We are all eagerly awaiting Janani ji’s next visit to Australia.
