On 8th February between 10.30 am to 12.30 pm, Sri Balaji did ‘Tulasi Ramayan" lecture in Hindi with quotations from ‘Bhagavat Gita’ and ‘Srimad Bhagavatham’ at the residence of Sri Nagesh Swami at Taman Kemayoran. Mahamantra was chanted for 30 minutes.
Sri Balaji started with Guru kirtan “Guru Mata Guru Pita…” and xplained the meaning of the song. The song tells that one should submit oneself completely to Guru through words, action and thoughts. Guru and Hari are one and the same.

In Bhagavat Gita, Lord Krishna says “Sarvadharmaan parithyajya mamekam sharanam vraja”. He tells Arjuna to shed his ego “It is mine. I’m doing it” and surrender totally to the Lord. The Paramathma from whose mouth the Vedas were born, from whose Nabhi the whole universe bloomed, that Paramathma rides the horse chariot just for the sake of his dear devotee Arjuna, making the sound as “ho, ho” while driving the horse. He then narrated the story of Saint Tulasidas and about his work “Ramacharita Manas” and that the Lord Viswanatha himself acknowledged his work in Kasi kshetra. The usefulness of human body is to involve each part of our body in the service of God, like – taking the body to Krishna temple, making the mouth to chant Mahamantra, etc. He concluded the lecture by saying that the essence of all scriptures and the height of Bhakthi is to keep chanting Mahamantra incessantly.
The Satsang concluded with a short interactive session with the devotees for 10 min followed by Mahamantra Kirtan. 25 devotees participated in the Satsang. |
