How cruel is Maya! The world tries to make a living by exploiting even Jnanis - the liberated ones who have given up all bondages and possessions.

Just as a snake is waiting to swallow the frog, Yama (the Lord of death) is waiting to carry out his duty. We know not when we will meet with death. And when death occurs, none – wealth, titles, power, fame, family, relatives, friends – can help. Even though we are aware that the Lord’s Lotus Feet is the only way out we are unable to shirk all these. The Lord’s Maya is so strong!

The world shown by the mind is not at all true. It is only as true as a chronic liar, who vehemently swears on truth, that he never lies and has never lied.

One day, the mind would be filled with devotion; on another day, it would long for worldly pleasures; on another day, it would renounce everything. The great Maya called the mind, can slowly be brought under control only through Nama Sankirtan

There are two ways to overcome Maya. The vedanti fights against it whereas the bhakta takes shelter under the Divine Names of God

The greatest Maya according to me is that everyone knows in their heart of hearts that there is no other go except chanting the Mahamantra, but they are not willing to accept it and follow it openly.

I always wonder about two classes of people: One, the person who cremates corpses in the graveyard standing witness to the burning bodies day in and day out and another, the surgeon who tears open the body during surgery to find that it contains nothing but flesh and bones. In spite of their daily experience It is stunning to see how the Maya masks the Truth from them who continue their life as ever before!
