Premika Vidya Kendra

There are innumerable works of Sri Sri Anna, that are beyond the scope of listing. It was the desire of Sri Swamiji to build a temple for all these works. Since granthas of the Guru, and Bagavan are not different. He wanted it to be made at the capital of the country. The place chosen, with a name very apt, was Gurugram.

There is no greater thing than the words of the guru. That is the path shown by our Sanatana Dharma.

Swami Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, once had a divine experience. In that, he saw a ‘jyothi’ move from Bhagavan to Srimad Bagavatham, and from there to him.  He said it showed to him that Bhagavan, Bagavatham and baktha are all one. Bagavatham is Bhagavan. Bhagavan’s words are not different from Bhagavan.

Similarly, in the Golden Temple in Amritsar, it is the ‘Guru Grantha Sahib’ that is worshipped. It is the writings of Guru Nanak. The temple has been built for that grantha and worship is being done to it. In other words, a temple for the works of the Guru.

Likewise, in Rishikesh there is a place called Gita Bava. Here, all the shlokas of Srimad Bagavad Gita have been showcased in a building.

Historical Significance

The historical significance of this place  is that this region was called Indraprastha in the days of the Mahabarata war. Lord Krishna made this the capital for the Pandavas. This place chosen then by Krishna continues to be the capital of the country to this day. So in that same place-capital of India, Indraprastha (Gurugram), a place was bought and Premika Vidya Kendra under the Sandeepani Gurukula Trust was constructed.

In the ground floor, all of the works of Shri Shri Krishna Premi Swamigal have been preserved like a museum with beautiful write-ups about each grantha, in a very contemporary design. A beautiful thing we can observe here is how our Sri Swamiji has portrayed his bhava. As we enter, straight ahead there is Swami Veda Vyasa because Vyasa is the founder of Sanatana Dharma. It is He who has compiled the Vedas, given the Upanishads, Brahmasutras, all the puranas, upa-puranas etc. Then there is a throne on which there is a representation of  Premika Sampradaya which  is above all sampradayas.

In the first floor, the Bagavan in the sanctum is named Grantha Bagavan by Sri Swamiji. There is Sri Ranganatha on Sesha sayanam, Tirupathi Srinivasa  Perumal and  Varadaraja Perumal on Garuda Vahanam. So, Srirangam Ranganathar,Tirupathi Perumal, Varadarajar on garuda vahanam and Sri Sri Anna’s granthas in the same place. That is the sannidhi. Nitya  Pooja is done here.

In addition to this a Sama Veda Patasala was started here in 2017. Ashish Pathak, a former student  of our patasala, is the adhyapak here.

Every year around the time of Holi, Sri Sri Anna visits Premika Vidya Kendra, stays there does upanyasams and satsangs.

Granthas of Sri Sri Anna are available here for sale
