When Thakurji wanted Theppotsav!

Our satsang member Sri Premnath from Chennai narrates a lila of Sri Madhuri Saki Sametha Sri Premika Varadan Thakurji - something that happened during the last week..

There are many divine leelas played by our Takurji  Sri Premika Varadan.  But whenever, He plays a Leela, it is not for Himself alone, but for the benefit of all his devotees too.

One such incident happened during the last week…

It was this May ; and it was the peak of summer(agni nakshathram) when people were not even able to come  out of their places as it was scorching hot.

Our Premika Varadan too felt the heat and decided to ask our Swamiji for a Theppotsav  (a function in which the divine couple Premika Varadan with Madhuri would sail on a small beautifully decorated boat in the Madhurapushkarani – the divine tank of Madhurapuri Kshethram, with Radha Krishna yugala geetams sung and lamps lit all around).

Sri Swamiji went to the Pushkarani right next to the temple and and supervised it to see if it was okay for the Theppotsav to be conducted.  Unfortunately, it had no water as all of it was evaporated thanks to the summer.
Sri Swamiji conveyed this to Premika Varadan, adding, ‘If  you wish that a theppotsav be celebrated, you have to fill the pond by yourself!’

To everyone’s surprise, the very next day, it poured cats and dogs – as if it were a monsoon season and the Pushkarani was completely filled with water for the Theppotsav to be performed.

Not only that, lso the climate also became cool for all the people across the state and tanks and rivers around Chennai were filled with water  so that people can manage the rest of summer season.

Indeed, when Thakurji does a lila, it benefits the whole world.
